Journeys, Hand Built Pots, Drums & Apache Sweat Lodge
Journey with Steve Gallegos, create a micaceous clay pot from your journeys with Apache Medicine Man Felipe Ortega, who will also read your pot, create a drum with Jimmy Ortega & attend an Apache Two-Spirit sweat lodge
The Vessel and The Voice begins on the evening of July 11th, 4pm. The workshop ends at noon on the 19th.
It includes:
Saturday 11th July 2008
4.pm: Introductory session & Journey.
7pm Evening meal.
Sunday 12th -Monday 13th:
All day with Steve Gallegos:
Journeys to the vessel we are, the voice we have etc.
Tuesday 14
Morning with Steve Gallegos: 8.30-11am
12.30-6pm: Lunch with Felipe Ortega, opening blessing ceremony, introduction to pottery.
6-7pm: Evening meal
7-9pm: Drum making with Jimmy Ortega
Wednesday 15-Friday 17th:
Mornings: Flexible schedule. journeys with Steve Gallegos, or freetime or work on pots, depending on individual needs.
12.30-6pm: Lunch, Felipe Ortega, pottery.
6-7pm: Evening meal
7-9pm: Drum making with Jimmy Ortega
Saturday 18th
Morning: Rest or Eight Northern pueblos Craft fair or other sightseeing
Afternoon: Finishing drums & firing of pots. Reading of pots with Felipe Ortega. Sweat Lodge with Mary Diggin.
Sunday 19th
Closing session and journey with Steve Gallegos, lunch & Eight Northern Pueblos Craft fair, if desired.

are held on a regular basis at Felipe's home: Sweat Lodge
Micaceous Clay Pottery in Mazatlán Classes are held every Winter. This winter, classes will be held between Dec. 26 2007 - Jan. 31 2008
